Hi
everyone, I'm new to Newcastle. Does anyone know of good
locations for wedding ceremonies, we're planning for an
outdoor ceremony? It can't be too far from the CBD where
our reception is booked. |

Yvette,
families eh! Your idea regarding your sister giving you
away is lovely, if you are comfortable with this (and it
won't cause a rift with your dad!). Or perhaps she would
make a great MC or simply ask her to do a meaningful
reading at the ceremony? I am sure she will understand. On
another note, I am getting married here in Newy in Oct 09
and have just gotten used to saying I am getting married
THIS YEAR!!! Argh! |

HELP! I'm having trouble deciding on my wedding
party. I have a confusing family - you could say! I have
one half sister (same mum, different dad) and a sister. My
half sister is 14 years older than me. I had decided on
only having me sister as a solo bridesmaid (hubby 2 b only
has 1 brother) but I don't want to leave my older sister
out. She is not really the type to be put out by such
things, but I would hate her to think I didn't feel as
close to her! I had the idea of having my older sister
give me away on behalf of my late mother, as I am not
particularly close to my father. Any suggestions as to how
I can involve her on the day and make her feel special
without actually having her as a bridesmaid? |

Olivia Great
idea!! I think you would really be onto something and get
a really good name for yourself with beautiful inexpensive
options. My only suggestion is "China" -
perhaps a thought is to think about the size range
available. Are they smaller sizes because really a
size 18 isn't that uncommon. But great idea!!! Go
for it. |

Hi, My names
Olivia & I'm thinking about opening a bridal store in
the hunter/upper hunter area. I am just about to get
married and could only afford a gown under $500. but i
found this very hard as most shops were much more
expensive than that and they just stared blankly when i
told them my budget. I am ultimately going to stock gowns
under a certain price. my girlfriend ordered a gown from
china for $200 and she loves it and its soooo beautiful.
was thinking about stocking theses gowns. I know its hard
to order online as you cant try it on and see the dress.
but was thinking if i could stock these gowns in a small
retail outlet I might be on to something. I am now a stay
at home mum due to my sons disability and am needing to do
something to keep occupied and also to build a base to
earn a living. Please let me know your thoughts &
ideas. Thanks Olivia. |

Just
wondering what colours all you other brides are going with
for bridesmaid dresses. I am yet to decide, and getting
sick of thinking about it. Black and hot pink are
currently at the top of my list... |
